Home to house music, Chicago has been an epicenter for the genre for decades. As the city’s new talents take over, some aim to keep the house sound fresh while others look to expand into other genres. BRKS certainly fits the mold to become one of the city’s brightest stars in this regard. The thirty one-year-old producer finds inspiration from a variety of dance artists, from Above & Beyond to Hausman and Tagavaka.

This variety within the genre has given him unique perspectives on each take in the electronic scene, as he crafted his own sound by adapting the best aspects from a myriad of sources and sprinkling in his own touches. Flares of progressive trance and melodic house are present in some of his most recent work, with fan favorites like “The Journey” and “Kyoto” capturing BRKS at his best. After releasing two singles in 2025, he is prepared for a major move this year as he seeks to showcase why he is one of the Midwest’s most promising producers!
