Born and raised in the Bronx, Crazy Steve is a multilingual artist, songwriter, producer, and engineer whose sound blends R&B, Afrobeats, Caribbean music, Kizomba, and melodic island influences.

His journey began in fifth grade when he created a song for a school project. By seventh grade, he was writing lyrics, making beats, and learning to engineer his own recordings. Without studio equipment at home, he used school resources and burned his music onto blank CDs.

The name Crazy Steve came from a classmate after he defended himself against bullying. Although he initially disliked it, the nickname eventually replaced his childhood artist name, Snake Killa. He also produces under the name DJ Loco, inspired by his mother frequently telling him, “Tú eres un loco.”

Influenced by Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Ne-Yo, and others, Crazy Steve records in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Patwa. These languages reflect his culture and upbringing while helping him connect with fans around the world.

His latest single, “Save Me,” follows two people who enter a relationship while trying to escape past trauma. They eventually realize they must heal individually and are not right for each other.

Crazy Steve has collaborated with Blueface on “911,” while his Welcome To Hell EP remains his proudest project. His upcoming Break Out EP, featuring CeeLo Green, Boosie Badazz, Bobby Shmurda, and more, is scheduled for release this fall exclusively through CrazySteveLive.com.
