Soon, the famous rapper and songwriter from New York’s Guyana district, SAINt JHN will drop his third studio album named “While the World Was Burning”. Starting his career as an author almost 10 years ago, Saint Jhn now is willing to get a bigger reach as a musician with that new project hitting DSPs on November 20.
The rapper has already shared the list of celebrities who collaborated with him in “While the World Was Burning”. It includes such personas as Lil Uzi Vert, Kehlani, DaBaby, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Future, Kanye West, J.I.D, and 6LACK.
Why “The Brown Skin Girl” was so important?
Saint Jhn gain fame with his single “Roses” initially released in 2016 and its remix made by well-known Kazakh DJ Imanbek who contributed to hip hop music promotion – the remix appeared in the top 5 of US Billboard Hot 100 and top 10 in other countries. Last year Jhn also had an opportunity to work with a world megastar.
By that we mean the soundtrack to “The Lion King: The Gift” soundtrack called “Brown Skin Girl”. SAINt JHN and Wizkid performed as leads while Beyonce with her daughter Blue Ivy became the featured performers of the music video.
Being MTV’s PUSH artist for November, Saint Jhn presented live his “Gorgeous” and “Sucks to Be You” which now are available as an outlet to the album. It was especially unexpected for the rapper to emphasize the personal value of “Brown Skin Girl” collaboration. This is how SAINt JHN himself reflects on the point of the song:
“When I started ‘Brown Skin Girl’ I knew I wanted to have a song that one day, if I ever had a daughter, I could sing to her, I could tell her ‘you’re beautiful’ but I wouldn’t have to use my words. I could trick her by just playing the song ‘Brown Skin Girl’ “
